Hi folks, this time I will be introducing you all to our new product from the Treasury Science Product Suite in the field of Analytics namely Enterprise Treasury Analytics (ETA). This would be our very first step towards data analytics, and as it is popularly said and believed that “Charity begins at home” we too stuck to this and developed a tool which is integrated with one for our flagship product CMO and analyzes the data stored by it.
ETA’s rich user interface and graphical presentation allows you to decipher the data in a very interactive manner. The web based application comprises of two kinds of reporting capabilities, i.e. Adhoc and Canned. Adhoc Reports are easy to create because of its XML based configuration, whereas Canned Reports are system defined and are developed based on certain specific user requirements and criteria. Canned Reports also give the capability to view both the chart and the data together for a more comprehensive analysis.
Currently we have created a couple of reports both Adhoc and Canned based on the data stored with CMO which are generic in nature and gives a birds eye view of the treasury to our existing clients. Let me explain a few reports which we have been working on:
Investment Position Report: This is an Adhoc Report providing you with details of your Investments. Based on the simple logic that your Total Investment would be equal to all you Current Investments minus any Redemption/Maturities for the period you are running the report. You have the ability to drill down into minute details of your investments and redemptions and identify any kind of pattern.
Balance Report: This Canned Report, reports the different kinds of summary balances of each account which you have with your banker such as the Opening Available Balance, Closing Available Balance, Opening Ledger Balance, and Closing Ledger Balance and so on. Balance of each accounts are reported and grouped allowing you to analyze the data by viewing the charts. The report equips you with the ability to run a trend analysis of different balances across currencies for each account across all your banks.
Transaction Summary Report: You can view the summary of the different type of transactions executed by you using our treasury products both EFTNextGen and CMO across currencies over a period of time and determine the most availed service from your banker and the volume of the transactions.
Daily Cash Position Report: To sum up all your daily treasury activities which would also work as an icing on the cake at the end of the day is this Cash Position Report which would not only define the Preliminary Cash Position and the Final Cash Position but also by how much the two differ in both absolute and percentage terms.
